Watershed Masters / Beach Watchers

WSU Whatcom Extension’s Watershed Master / Beach Watcher Program
The WSU Whatcom Extension’s Watershed Master / Beach Watcher program provides education on fresh and marine water, and the aquatic resources of Whatcom County.
Participants receive 100 hours of training on:
-Puget Sound, Lake Whatcom, and Groundwater
-Salmon Streams and Shellfish
-Farming and Forestry Issues
-Beaches, Wetlands . . . and more
In exchange, participants educate their fellow citizens, monitor and restore water quality, fisheries, and other aquatic resources.
The program started April 1st. Tuition is $50.
